Congress leaders attended the meeting held at the party headquarters in Delhi.

A meeting of the All India Congress Committee (AICC) was held in Delhi. Party presidents and in-charges of several states attended the meeting. While the meeting was going on, a heated argument broke out between Haryana Congress president Udaybhan and party general secretary Kumari Selja. In the meeting, in front of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and former President Rahul Gandhi, Shailaja accused the Haryana Congress President of being biased.

During the meeting Shailja directly accused the Haryana Congress of inviting people from only one party in the meeting and giving preference. KC Venugopal, the organization’s general secretary, came to the rescue before the debate on the allegations could proceed. He asked to meet Shailja separately and talk to him and pacified the matter.

Came to clarify after the meeting

After the meeting, the in-charge and the president reached the organization general minister’s room to give an explanation. According to sources, the general secretary of the organization scolded the state president and said that this is not the first time when a complaint has been received. In-charge Deepak Bavaria said that the grievances of the opposite party should be resolved immediately and a report should be submitted soon after coordination.

This is not the first time that such an allegation has been made by Shailaja. Earlier last month, he leveled serious allegations against senior party leader and former Haryana CM Bhupendra Singh Hooda without naming him. He pointed out that the party is weakening in Haryana.

Questions were also raised on the distribution of tickets in the Lok Sabha elections

It is said about Haryana Congress that two factions have formed within the party. One group belongs to Shailja while the other group belongs to Bhupendra Singh Hooda. Regarding the distribution of tickets in the Lok Sabha elections, Shailja said that perhaps the state in-charge is not aware of the ground conditions. It is also possible that the feedback was not properly conveyed to the party high command. Even after Haryana’s senior Congress MLA Kiran Chaudhary left the party, Shailja raised questions about the state’s leadership.

Trouble for Congress

Assembly elections are going to be held in Haryana later this year. In such a scenario, the party’s best effort is to keep the state leaders united so that the ruling party can be faced with full strength, but resentment among the leaders remains a problem for the party.
