Accused youth assaulting policeman
In Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, two youths crossed all limits of hooliganism and barged into the police station and brutally beat up a policeman. A video of beating a policeman is going viral. In the video, it can be seen that two youths are beating a policeman inside the police station. Meanwhile, many other people are also present in the police station. The youth had a scuffle with other policemen present in the police station. After information, additional police force arrived and the youth was arrested.
The assault on the policemen is said to have taken place on September 6. Lalpur police station in Ranchi was patrolling late at night. Meanwhile, a white car was stopped by the police for checking. The white colored car which was stopped by the police had the name plate of a member of BJP’s regional work committee. During checking of the vehicle, when the policemen asked for the documents, the two youths present in the vehicle exchanged insults.
There was a huge uproar in the police station
The two youths were somehow overpowered by the policemen and taken to the police station. As soon as they entered the police station, the two youths created a ruckus. When they were stopped by the policemen, the youths started beating the police officer inside the police station. Before the people present realized anything, they had rained heavy punches on the policemen.
Locked in police lockup
A policeman present inside the Lalpur police station steps forward to save his colleague. Meanwhile, the accused youth also pushed him. For a long time both the youths continued to bully inside the police station. However, after the arrival of additional police force, they were somehow subdued and placed in lockup. The two youths, who accused the policemen of assaulting them, also threatened to take off their uniforms.
The video of the fight that took place at the time of the incident has been preserved by the police as evidence. However, police investigation revealed that both the accused youths had no affiliation with any political party and were cheating by using political party stickers and flags in the vehicle for false honour.
