Martyr Adarsh Negi

Five sons of Uttarakhand became victims of the cowardly attack on the army in Kathua, Jammu and Kashmir. When the news reached the homes of the five jawans that Chirag of their family had been martyred in the service of the country, the house was in mourning and the whole of Uttarakhand mourned the sacrifice. On Monday afternoon, there was a major terrorist attack on an army convoy in Kathua. Among these soldiers is a soldier whose family has dedicated another son to the country in 2 months.

The family we are discussing is a resident of Thati (Dagar) village in Kirtinagar, Devprayag, Tihri district. Rifleman Adarsh Negi has sacrificed himself for the defense of the country. As soon as the news of Adarsh Negi’s martyrdom reached his village, a wave of mourning spread throughout the village. Not only the family of the martyr but the entire village is in mourning due to the martyrdom. 26 year old martyred soldier Adarsh Negi was not even married yet and at such a young age he laid down his life for the country.

Martyrdom of another son of the family

For the second time in the last two months, a mountain of grief has fallen on Adarsh Negi’s family. Even before this, this family had sacrificed one of their sons for the country. Just two months ago, Adarsh Negi’s uncle’s son also laid down his life in the interest of the country. Pranay Negi, posted as a Major in the Indian Army, also became a martyr for the country. On hearing the news of the martyrdom of the second son Shaheed Adarsh Negi, the whole family was shocked. In 2018, Adarsh joined the Garhwal Rifles and was martyred serving the country for 6 years.

There were two brothers and one sister in the family.

Martyr Rifleman Adarsh Negi is survived by father Dalbir Singh Negi, mother, one brother and elder sister. Her brother currently works in Chennai while her elder sister is married. Shaheed’s father is a farmer in the village and Adarsh came to the village this year.
