Pune: Tukaram Maharaj’s palanquin, which has been staying in Pune for the last two days, has left for Pandharpur today. Tukaram Maharaj’s palanquin stayed at the Chundunga Vithoba temple in Pune. After leaving Pune city today, Tukaram Maharaj’s palanquin will stay at Loni Kalbhor today. Once again, devotees have started moving towards Pandharpur by chanting the name of Vitthal.
The palanquins had been staying (Ashadhi Wari Today) in Pune for the last two days after jagadguru Sant Dnyaneshwar and Jagadguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj left Dehu and Alandi. The entire punyanagari was decked up to welcome him. The palanquins of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj and Sant Tukaram Maharaj were welcomed in Pune.
In this palanquin, lakhs of warkaris are marching towards Pandhari, chanting Mauli – Tukoba. Sant Tukaram Maharaj’s dehu and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj’s departure from Alandi leaves for Pandharpur after a stay in Pune.
