Controversy continues regarding Annu Kapoor’s film ‘Hamara Barah’. Now the Supreme Court has banned the release of the film. The Supreme Court has stayed the Bombay High Court’s interim order to release the film. A vacation bench of Justices Vikram Nath and Sandeep Mehta delivered its judgment on a petition challenging the order of the Bombay High Court.

What did the Supreme Court say?

The Supreme Court says that the teaser of the film is very objectionable. The Supreme Court has also said that the release of the film will be stayed until the Bombay High Court takes a decision on the matter. Actually Hamara Barah was scheduled to release on June 14. But the film has been accused of being offensive to the Islamic faith and to married Muslim women in India.

Relief has been obtained from the Bombay High Court

The film was earlier scheduled to release on June 7. But before its release, ‘Hamara Barah’ was banned by the Bombay High Court. But later in the next hearing, the court issued an order to release the film. After this decision, the makers and stars felt that now their troubles are reduced. The makers have set the release date of the film on 14th June. On 13 June, the makers were scheduled to host the press shows of Hamare Barah in Mumbai and Delhi.

Have to wait for the next hearing of the court

But all the press shows of Hamara Barah were canceled pending the Supreme Court’s decision. It didn’t take long to see the happiness of the stars and makers. Now the team of ‘Hour Twelve’ will have to wait for the next hearing. Currently this film cannot be released in cinemas.
