A police team that went to clear illegal encroachment on land in Mahalgaon police station area of Jokihat block area of Araria district was attacked with arrows and sticks, injuring two police officers, including a woman sub-inspector. An arrow was shot in his face near the eye. The injured police officers have been sent to Purnia for treatment. A police team is camping at the spot.
The police went to Bagnagar Panchayat Pokharia village of Mahalgaon Police Station area to take action in a case of illegal occupation of around 18 acres of land. When the policemen arrived to remove this illegal encroachment, people were outraged. People of Mahadalit community have come and settled on this land. He said that he got this land through red card. Being prevented from being apprehended by the police, he became enraged and became an attacker.
A police team was suddenly attacked

Two police officers posted at Jokihat police station have been injured in this attack. According to the information received, Sub Inspector Nusrat Jahan, who reached the spot, was hit by an arrow in the face. It is revealed that an arrow hit below the eye.
There was a dispute over the possession of the land
Sub Inspector Virendra Kumar Nath was also injured in this attack. Both were sent to Purnia for treatment. Both were admitted to Max Hospital in Purnia. Police rush to the scene. Informing about the matter, Araria SP said that there was a land dispute between two parties in Pokharia village under Mahalgaon police station area on Monday morning at 3 o’clock in which there were about 200 people on one side. Plantation of bamboo on the respective land started.
Police arrested 4 people
As soon as the information was received, the head of Mahalgaon police station arrived with the police force. Meanwhile, the anti-social elements in the crowd got agitated and attacked the police force. A police officer was injured in this, who was admitted to Max Hospital Purnia for treatment. Here he underwent a successful operation and the arrow was removed. A heavy police presence has been arranged at the scene. The police have registered a case in connection with the incident and four people have been arrested so far. A case has been registered against 25 named and 300 unknown persons in this case.
