Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Ma on Saturday announced the establishment of Bhakta Kabir Dham in Hoshiarpur, Punjab. He said that this would enable a comprehensive research on the life and philosophy of the great saint of the Bhakti movement. Addressing the program organized on the occasion of Bhakta Kabir’s 626th birth anniversary, the Chief Minister said that Bhakta Kabir, a great poet and saint of the 15th century, had given the message to the people to lead a cultured life. He said that the life and philosophy of Bhakta Kabir always inspired people for mutual understanding.

Bhagwant Singh Mann said, maintaining unity and brotherhood following the ideals of Bhakta Kabir is the need of the hour. He said that people should truly follow the teachings of Bhakta Kabir. The Chief Minister said that building an equal society by removing caste, colour, creed and religion based discrimination is the need of the hour. He gave a message of love, peace and goodwill.

The Chief Minister said that till now it was a common man’s compulsion to send his child to a government school, but within six months his wish will be fulfilled as comprehensive reforms are being made in the education system. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that schools of eminence have been established across the state to impart standard education to the students and similarly the government health system is being upgraded.

The Chief Minister said that the results of our efforts in the field of education are visible to everyone as this time 158 students of government schools appeared in the JEE for the first time. Passed the exam. He said that this is just the beginning as other such results will emerge in the coming days for which his government is making continuous efforts. Bhagwant Singh Mann said that the Punjab government has given more than 43 thousand jobs to the youth on the basis of merit.

Hi-tech coaching centers are being opened

The Chief Minister also said that the state government is opening eight hi-tech coaching centers to train students for competitive examinations. These centers will provide standard training to the youth to clear the UPSC examination and serve in prestigious positions in the state and country.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister said that the state government has given private company G.V.K. A new success story has been written by buying Goindwal Power Plant owned by Power. He said that for the first time the state has seen a reverse trend as the government has bought private power plants while earlier state governments used to sell government properties at their preferred price.
