Pune Police brought smiles on the faces of robbers in a cinematic way
Pune Police has arrested two accused of robbery in a jewellery shop. Bhor, The robbers who tried to rob a jewellery shop in Talegaon Dabhade and escaped were arrested by Bhor police after a cinematic chase from the border of Vadgaon Dal village. Police have managed to arrest 2 out of 5 accused. While the other three escaped in a car and fled towards the hills in the area. Five accused attempted robbery in a jewellery shop in Talegaon Dabhade in the morning. But their attempt failed when citizens arrived and they fled from there. Talegaon Dabhade police told Bhor police that the five accused had come to Bhor in an Innova car. After this, Bhor police chased and detained two robbers.
On Thursday morning, five accused tried to rob a jewellery shop within the limits of Talegaon Dabhade police station. But the citizens of the area got a clue of the robbers’ activities. The local citizens ran towards the robbers. Therefore, the robbers fled from the spot. The police have started an investigation in this case. The police was investigating when the Talegaon Dabhade police informed the Bhor police that around 2.30 pm, the five accused had come to Bhor in an Innova car.
How did the police find the accused?
At dawn, police inspector Annasaheb Pawar, without wasting a moment, along with his colleagues, started a blockade in the city. At the same time, an Innova motor (number MH 12 AP 7773) carrying five passengers was seen going towards Mahad near the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. As soon as the police vehicle was seen, the car took a U-turn and went towards Shirwal. The police immediately started chasing the car. After covering a distance of five kilometers in four-five minutes, the police overtook those cars and stopped them in front of a petrol pump in the limits of Vadgaon Dal village.
By the time the police got out of the car, all the five people in the car started running towards the hills. The police also started chasing them. Out of the five people, Prem Sonawane was caught by the police. But the other four escaped. The police took Prem into custody and took him to Pune to hand him over to the Talegaon police. By then, within an hour, the youth of Vadgaon had started searching in Dogra. Then they found the accused named Amit. He was also handed over to the Talegaon police.
After getting information about the incident, Bhor Police Inspector Annasaheb Pawar along with his colleagues caught the accused within half an hour. Materials required for robbery were also recovered from his car. Police Sub-Inspector Shaila Khot, driver Hemant Bhilare, Assistant Police Inspector Vijaykumar Navale, Police Constable Dattatreya Khegere, Sunil Chavan, Abhay Barge, Avinash Nigade and Sonali Ingulkar were involved in arresting the accused.
