Two days after Sonu’s disappearance, it was reported that a decapitated body was found in a field in Saifni police station area of ​​Rampur district. The police team called Sonu’s family to identify the headless body. While Sonu’s family identified the headless body as their son.
The police reached the accused through a phone call
When police asked Sonu’s family members about any enmity, they denied any enmity. After taking out the CDR of Sonu’s mobile phone and examining it, it was found that Sonu’s last conversation was with a girl named Mehnaz. Mehnaz said that she met deceased Sonu while going to college. Sonu took some photos of her from his mobile phone. Due to which he used to blackmail her and call her to meet. Saddam conspired with his friend and invited Sonu to meet Mehnaz on Saifni Road on 9 September. When Sonu arrived to meet Mehnaz, talking to Sonu, Mehnaz took him to a sugarcane field, where Saddam and his friend, who came later, knocked Sonu to the ground and then tied him with a rope and cut his throat with a knife. . After breaking his phone, they stripped him and brought his slippers, his clothes and his head in a bag. Wearing other clothes, they reached the trenching ground of Saifni Nagar, 2 kilometers away.
