Akshay Kumar’s film will be a biopic
Akshay Kumar is in the news these days for his film ‘Stree 2’. His cameo in the film has created a lot of discussion. People are liking his role a lot. Currently, his two films released this year ‘Bade Mian Chhote Mian’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ have been flops. Now according to media reports, Akshay Kumar’s film ‘The Untold Story of C Shankaran Nair’ will release next year.
Almost all the work of Dharma Productions film has been completed. The film is a biopic of Shankaran Nair. Currently this biopic is not doing well at the box office. Despite having a good story, films like ‘Meydan’ did not earn much. It remains to be seen whether this film will be able to perform well in such a situation. The film will show the battle against the British Raj to reveal General Dyer’s role in the Jalliawala Bagh massacre. In which Akshay Kumar and Ananya Pandey have played the roles of lawyers. Apart from this, the film also stars R Madhavan.
The film is based on the book ‘The Case That Shook the Empire’.
Akshay is a senior and respected lawyer in the film, while Ananya is just starting her career. The film ‘The Untold Story of C Shankaran Nair’ is based on the book ‘The Case That Shook the Empire’. The book is written by Shankaran Nair’s grandson Raghu Palat. Akshay started the shooting of this film from Jama Masjid in Delhi.
Who is Shankaran Nair?
Shankaran Nair was a lawyer and judge in the Madras High Court by profession. Nair joined the Indian National Congress in 1897. The British gave him the title of knighthood in 1912. Also, in 1915, he was appointed a member of the Viceroy’s Council. However, he resigned from his post in 1919 after the Jalliwala massacre, after which Shankaran had to fight a lot against the British government. Shankar openly opposed General O’Dwyer in the Jalliawala Bagh massacre. Due to which several cases were filed against him. Apart from this, he was also fined 500 pounds.
Demand for a spin-off on Akshay’s character
People have liked Akshay’s role in ‘Stree 2’ a lot. Also, the demand for a spin-off on his character is starting to increase. People believe that even Akshay has now become a part of the women’s universe. Apart from this, viewers started speculating that ‘Stree 3’ is also coming soon and the actor might be a big part of it. Stree 3 may see a fight between Stree and Akshay Kumar.
‘Stree 2’ released on August 15 this year, after which the film created a sensation at the box office. ‘Stree 2’ has become the highest grossing film of this year. The film has earned more than 500 crores worldwide. The film has many stars including Rajkumar Rao, Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee in lead roles. Apart from Akshay, Varun Dhawan and Tamannaah Bhatt have also done a cameo in this film.
