How much was given to the government in the last five years?

Hindustan Zinc Limited, a Vedanta Group company, has contributed Rs 13,195 crore to the exchequer in the last financial year. This is around 46 per cent of its total revenue. Hindustan Zinc said in the information provided to the stock exchange on Monday that the company’s total contribution to the exchequer in the financial year 2023-24 was Rs 13,195 crore. With this, Hindustan Zinc Ltd. (HZL) has cumulatively contributed Rs 77,803 crore to the exchequer in the last five years.

Over the past five years, the company has contributed an average of about Rs 3,250 crore per annum to Rajasthan in the form of royalties, District Mineral Foundation (DMF) and other fees. The company said this significant contribution reflects Hindustan Zinc’s commitment to the economic development of the state.
