UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

The BJP’s defeat in the Uttar Pradesh Lok Sabha elections has taken a deep toll, causing everyone from the organization to the government to worry. From BJP’s top leadership to CM Yogi, everyone is scrambling to figure out the cause of the defeat and think of a solution. BJP National Organization General Secretary BL Santosh camped in Lucknow for three days and discussed the reasons for the defeat and now CM Yogi Adityanath is talking to Lok Sabha seat wise MLAs- MPs and Ministers discussing the reasons for the results. From that area and looking for a solution.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is talking to MLAs, MPs and local leaders of various departments every day. During this period meetings were held not only with the BJP but also with the people’s representatives of the allied parties. So far, CM Yogi has held assembly-wise brainstorming sessions with leaders of Lok Sabha seats from more than 10 divisions in the state, revealing that he is giving the basic mantra of learning from defeat and moving forward. Thus guidelines have been given for raising voice on social media regarding Central and State Government schemes.

Daily meeting with leaders at residence

Yogi Adityanath is meeting with one to two department leaders every day at his residence. The Chief Minister has discussed with the leaders of the Lok Sabha constituencies of Awadh, Purvanchal and Bundelkhand regions of UP and now it is the turn of Western UP region. CM Yogi Adityanath has asked one thing to all the MLAs of UP’s constituencies that he has met that why BJP lost in your constituencies. In which the difference of votes received earlier and now was also discussed.

In the meeting with the Chief Minister, most of the MLAs cited the same reasons for the defeat that have been at the center of discussion for several days. Twice they are repeating by giving tickets to BJP MPs in the Lok Sabha elections. The indifference of party workers and the opposition’s statement on the constitution and reservation proved costly for the BJP. In such a situation, the Chief Minister has so far given a single mantra to the leaders that while pushing the agenda of development and public welfare, they must also work to strengthen the ‘Katha’. This time the opposition in its own way managed to take the issues to the masses, which will have to be countered by its activism in this area.

Alarm for 2027 assembly elections

Political analysts also believe that after BJP Organization General Secretary BL Santosh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is holding the meeting as part of a strategy to give a booster to weak morale in the state. There is an alarm for 2027 as BJP’s seats in UP increased from 62 to 33. Akhilesh Yadav has defeated the BJP by using social engineering as a weapon to make a comeback in UP. Due to which the equation of 2027 assembly elections has been disturbed.

The situation was further complicated by caste-based issues amid the Lok Sabha elections. The BJP has worked since 2014 to bring OBCs and Dalits together under the umbrella of Hindutva, but it has seen political disintegration. This has become a source of tension for the BJP. In such a situation, BJP has started a damage control campaign before the 2027 assembly elections.

The mantra of ‘social’ and ‘vocal’

In a meeting with public representatives, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is giving the mantra to stay active in the area and be ‘social’ and ‘vocal’ both on the ground and on social media. CM Yogi is directing everyone to stay among the people. Yogi said that everyone should be active on social media. He suggested that whatever work is done, they should publicize it and also share pictures of meeting people in the area. Giving an example, he said that someone has got a house under PM Awas Yojana. Then take a selfie with him and post it in front of his house.

CM Yogi said that even after taking historic steps for development and public interest, the opposition is creating ‘false stories’ on many issues. Such efforts will be made in future also. They have to be exposed at every forum with arguments and facts. He said to talk to the opinion makers of the society and keep your topic among them so that it can get to the bottom. Also monitor the development plans, wherever there is any deficiency or need for improvement, raise it on the appropriate platform. In such a situation, it is clear that the Yogi government has already started creating the political environment for the assembly elections to be held in 2027.
