Both said it was not a conspiracy. Instead they used to steal the iron pillar and take it away. At that time the sound of a train came from there and they got scared and ran away leaving the pillar on the track.
Police said that two youths, Sunny alias Sandeep Chauhan and Bijendra alias Tinku, residents of Bilaspur police station area, have been arrested. Both of them are drug addicts and tried to steal an electric pole in a drunken state. But when he was crossing the tracks with Paul, a train came in front. In such a situation, they left the pole on the track and ran away.

Even on the day of the incident, he was drinking alcohol near the railway track and was stealing an iron pole lying nearby. The ground was rough and Sunny and Tinku were quite drunk. While they were carrying the pole, they heard a train horn, after which they ran away leaving the pole there. His intention was not to overturn the train. But his move could have led to something bigger.
