But this trend has changed in about 3-4 months. In recent times, more terror attacks are taking place in the areas of Jammu than in Kashmir.
It is believed that terrorist organizations have now changed their strategy, which has led to a sudden increase in terrorist attacks in areas of Jammu. After the abrogation of Article 370 in 2019, the intelligence network of the security forces in Kashmir has become stronger than ever. Besides, the army has almost completely destroyed the terrorist module in the valley, due to which it is now proving difficult to carry out terrorist attacks in Kashmir. Hence the terrorists have now focused their attention on Jammu. The pattern and timing of the terrorist attacks in Jammu in the last few months reveal a larger conspiracy.
3 Main Reasons for Terrorist Attacks in Jammu
First reason- Hindu dominated area on target
Terrorists are now targeting Hindu dominated areas in Jammu and Kashmir. According to the 2011 census, the total population of Jammu is about 15 lakh 30 thousand and 84 percent of them are Hindus and 7 percent are Muslims. It means that terrorists are plotting to bring back the era of 90s once again. The peace and progress of Jammu and Kashmir is not at all liked by the terrorists sitting in Pakistan.
Another reason- Frustration due to return of Modi government
When the Narendra Modi government came to the center in 2014, the government made it clear that ‘terrorism’ and ‘talk’ cannot happen together. It means that there will be no dialogue with Pakistan if it continues to carry out anti-India conspiracies and harbor terrorists. The impact of the Centre’s strict policies was also seen. In August 2019, the Modi government gave another blow to Pakistan. The government has given a strong message by removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. Third reason- Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir
Assembly elections are to be held in Jammu and Kashmir in the next few months. The people of Jammu and Kashmir also voted enthusiastically in the Lok Sabha elections, which makes it clear that the people are with democracy. The people of Jammu and Kashmir want to leave behind the days of terrorism and move towards the path of development. It is clear that even in the next assembly elections, the people will elect a government that will free them from terrorism and work for development. In such a situation, terrorist organizations may try to intimidate people and influence the electoral process.
Manipulator China is under suspicion
Neighboring country China supports every nefarious step of Pakistan. On one hand, Pakistan wants to spread terrorism in Kashmir and on the other hand, China is eyeing those areas of India which border China. On May 4, terrorists attacked an Air Force convoy in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch area. 5 jawans have been injured in this attack. According to sources, investigations into the Poonch attack have revealed that the militants fired at the soldiers with American M4 carbines and AK-47 guns. The terrorists used steel bullets in these guns. Usually these bullets are made of brass, but now terrorists are using steel bullets for attacks. Steel bullets are more lethal than brass bullets, these bullets can penetrate even bulletproof vehicles.
Steel bullets used in terrorist attacks point to Chinese conspiracy. Former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir SP Vaid has informed that steel bullets are manufactured in China. It is said that China sends these bullets to Pakistan. After this, the Pakistan Army, which always helps the terrorists, delivers these bullets to the terrorists.
Former DGP SP Vaid says the Pakistan Army and ISI want the pressure created by the heavy deployment of security forces on the India-China border in Ladakh and Kashmir to be lifted. Due to which now the areas of Jammu are being targeted. Because if the situation in Jammu continues, additional forces will have to be deployed in Jammu as well, for which there is every possibility that forces will be brought in from the China border and Kashmir areas in Ladakh.
