The way of investment in Jammu and Kashmir is open, these big companies have made a choice, millions will get employment

Jammu and Kashmir is moving fast on the path of development, increasing investment and employment opportunities in the valley. In fact, in the first week of July itself, the Jammu and Kashmir government has received around 6900 applications to purchase land from several companies. In which land has also been allotted to MR Group in Kashmir and some big companies in Jammu Division.

According to a report, among the companies interested in land in Jammu and Kashmir, land has been allotted to Dubai MR Group in Kashmir and former Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan’s company Welspun Group in Jammu division.

Lakhs will get employment

The land given to these companies in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir is worth Rs. 1.23 lakh crore will attract investment while it will open employment avenues to more than 5 lakh people. According to the report, the government has received 1902 applications in the state of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly Jammu division, out of which most of the applications are for Kathua district, as the district is connected to Punjab and Himachal. On the other hand, over 5000 applications have been received in the Kashmir division, mostly filled by small and medium enterprises.

Big companies got land

According to the report, Rs 21,000 crore has been invested in several projects in Jammu division, of which 15 major projects are worth Rs 14,594 crore. Kathua Bhagthali Industrial Estate is also included in this.

In March last year, Jammu and Kashmir Lt. Governor Manoj Singha said this while laying the foundation stone of the land given to Dubai’s MR Group to build a mega mall and IT tower under Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) at Simpura, outside Srinagar. The K Mall and Dubai government-linked projects will not only boost the economic development of Jammu and Kashmir, but also help achieve the shared vision of strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties between India and the UAE.
