The wait is over, Vande Bharat Express will finally run on this route, see what changes have been made

The country’s first semi high speed train Vande Bharat Express has been well liked by the rail passengers. These Vande Bharat Express trains are in great demand on most routes in the country as passengers are traveling at high speed along with modernity. After the arrival of Vande Bharat, it was said that the train was designed to run at a speed of 160 kmph. But currently due to the condition of Indian tracks, this train is running at a maximum speed of 130 kmph. However, there is a plan to run the train at a speed of 160 kmph on the Mumbai to Ahmedabad route.

It has been decided to increase the speed of Vande Bharat Express train on Mumbai to Ahmedabad route. From 15th August, the maximum speed of Vande Bharat on this route will be 160 kmph. The Railway Board has ordered the Mumbai and Vadodara divisions of Western Railway to complete the work of increasing the capacity of the railway track on this route by 30th June. The Railway Board has ordered to conduct confirmatory oscillograph car tests on this route. With this scheme, Vande Bharat Express will be able to run at its maximum speed.

The railway distance from Mumbai to Ahmedabad is 491 km. Currently, Vande Bharat Express takes 5 hours and 15 minutes on this route. If the speed of Vande Bharat train is increased, half an hour of travel time will be saved on this route.

There are currently two Vande Bharat Expresses running on the Mumbai Central to Ahmedabad route. One train runs on all days of the week except Sunday and the other Vande Bharat runs on all days of the week except Wednesday. Mumbai to Ahmedabad train no. 22962 leaves Ahmedabad for Mumbai at 6.10 am. This train reaches Mumbai Central at 11.35 am. This Vande Bharat stops at a few stations like Vadodara, Surat, Vapi and Borivali before reaching Mumbai Central. While the return journey Vande Bharat leaves Mumbai Central at 3.55 pm and reaches Ahmedabad at 9.25 pm. On the return journey train Stops at Vadodara, Surat, Vapi and Borivali stations in both directions.

These will be the facilities

Four platform side cameras along with rear view cameras are installed outside the coaches of Vande Bharat Express. Ultra violet high capacity compressors are installed in the air conditioning system for better ventilation, free of bacteria. The modern coach control system is equipped with a control room to monitor the safety and cleanliness of the staff.
