The wait is over…Jammu and Kashmir assembly election dates may be announced next week

Big information is coming out regarding the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections. The Election Commission may announce the election next week. Elections can be held in 5 phases in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The Election Commission will hold a meeting with the Union Home Ministry by the end of this week. This will review security. Thereafter, the Election Commission will take a final decision on the dates for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.

The entire commission, headed by Chief Election Commission Rajeev Kumar, has visited Srinagar and Jammu from August 8 to 10 for election preparations. The last assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir were held in 2014 in five phases.

There are several challenges in these districts: Election Commission

According to the Election Commission, there are many challenges in the districts of North Kashmir. Many areas here are considered sensitive. Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Bandipore, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian and Srinagar districts have been considered vulnerable in North Kashmir. While in Jammu division, districts like Kathua, Samba, Reasi, Jammu, Udhampur have been considered vulnerable.

The political temperature is gradually rising in Jammu and Kashmir amid the election atmosphere. On Monday, National Conference chief Farooq Abdullah said that he will contest the next assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir. However, he refused to reveal from which constituency he will contest. The Election Commission hoped to announce the election dates by the end of this month.

I will run for office because I am not dead

Farooq Abdullah reached Doda in Jammu region. Here he said that his son Omar Abdullah does not want to contest elections under the current system. He has made up his mind that he will not contest the elections until Jammu and Kashmir gets statehood. However, I am not dead so I am going to contest.

Meanwhile, Farooq Abdullah made a big claim. He said that the National Conference will form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir on its own. He does not need the support of anyone but Allah. We are ready for elections.
