Punjab Kings are in action mode ahead of IPL 2025 mega auction. On 18 September itself, the franchise appointed Ricky Ponting as its head coach. Eight days after becoming head coach, two veterans have lost their jobs. In fact, Director of Cricket Development Sanjay Bangar and Head Coach Trevor Bayliss have been removed from their positions by the franchise. According to a Cricinfo report, the decision was taken after a meeting of the board members, which included the 4 co-owners of the team. Bangar has served as the head coach of Team India for 5 years.
