A day before Independence Day, Captain Deepak Singh was martyred in a terrorist attack in Doda, Jammu and Kashmir. He was shot three times in the chest. Even after being injured, he continued to guide his team. He killed a terrorist without caring for his life. When his condition became critical, he was admitted to the Army Hospital, where he died during treatment.

Attended sister’s wedding in May

Captain Deepak Singh was injured by a bullet during a terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir’s Doda on Wednesday. He was admitted to an army hospital for treatment, but doctors could not save him. Martyr Captain Deepak Singh was the only brother of two sisters. In May, he attended his younger sister’s wedding. He spent about 2 months of leave at home. After completion of home leave, he was posted on duty in Jammu and Kashmir.

The father is proud of his son’s martyrdom

Captain Deepak Singh’s father Mahesh Singh is proud of his son’s martyrdom. He was posted at Uttarakhand Police Headquarters and had taken BRS some time back. He says that ever since he got the news of his son’s martyrdom, he has not let a single tear fall from his eyes. He says that the son was very fond of joining the army. Today his wish came true. But he has only one regret that his son Captain Deepak Singh left this world before him. He states that since he was living in a government house in Dehradun Police Line, Deepak used to practice every day in the police line grounds to join the army.

The news of the encounter was heartbreaking

He says I am very proud to see my son’s patriotic feelings. He said that he was also very bright in studies, so he got selected in SSB and decided to join the Army. He said that every month some soldier is being martyred from Uttarakhand. The government should seriously consider this. He said that whenever there is an encounter in Jammu and Kashmir, it hurts me to see its news on TV. It seems that one of our sons may be martyred again. He says that when such news comes on TV, he switches it off before his wife arrives.
