In the first meeting of the committee formed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann in Punjab, the solution to the problems of contract drivers and conductors was discussed. Meanwhile, the Cabinet Minister listened attentively to the demands of Punjab Roadways/Punbus and PRTC Unions. After which Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar instructed to present a proposal in this regard. He asked the officials to submit the report during the meeting on July 19.
Punjab Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar directed department officials to submit suitable proposals within a week for permanent solution to the problems of contractual drivers and conductors in Punjab Roadways/Punbus and PRTC.
Transport Minister Laljit Singh Bhullar, presiding over the first meeting of the committee constituted by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, asked the officials to adopt a sensitive attitude towards the problems of the employees. He said that the next meeting will be held in his office on July 19 and till then the officials should present suitable proposals to resolve all the demands.
In a meeting with other committee members and two union representatives at his office at the Punjab Civil Secretariat, the Transport Minister said that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann-led government is committed to timely resolution of every employee issue. He asked the officials to quickly consider the demands and find a suitable solution.
During the meeting, Secretary Transport Dilraj Singh Sandhavalia, MD Panbus Gurpreet Singh Khaira, MD PRTC. Ravinder Singh and Transport Department Deputy Director Praneet Singh Minhas, ADO Panbus Rajeev Dutta, GM PRTC. Maninder Singh and other officers were present.
