In the assembly elections, Congress has fielded Maman Khan from Ferozepur seat of the state. The opposition parties have targeted the Congress over this statement. BJP’s candidate from Noah, Forest Minister Sanjay Singh hit back at Maman Khan, saying that he challenges him, if Khan has the guts, show his hand to anyone from his community. Along with this, the BJP candidate has demanded from the Election Commission that the Commission should disqualify such people.

BJP leader Aurangzeb said that Maman Khan always makes provocative statements. An inflammatory statement made in the assembly led to violence in Noah. Even today, when people remember that violence, the soul trembles. He said that by giving a controversial statement, the Congress candidate has once again proved that he is becoming an MLA not for the development of Mewat but to drive away the people of Mewat.

While INLDSP candidate of Ferozepur Zirka Assembly Habib Khan Khan said that the people have understood the intention of the Congress leaders very well. Congress candidates are not talking of uniting Mewat but of breaking it. He said that talk of going to jail instead of development is like trying to scare the people of the area once again.

Addressing the people, he said that the murder case of Junaid and Nasir from Ghatmika in Rajasthan had shaken the entire country right from the assembly. During the Noah incident people’s homes did not have stoves lit and the government put me (Maman Khan) in jail unnecessarily.

‘People doing injustice have to leave Mewat’

Maman Khan said that those who have done injustice to the children of Mewat will not be spared as soon as the Congress government takes over. He said I know everyone’s name and address. As soon as the government is formed, those people will have to leave Mewat. Along with this, he also said that even if he has to go to jail 100 times, he will continue to raise the voice of the people in the assembly.
