It is said that uniforms have different prestige. When the uniform comes on your body, it feels as if the world is at your feet. Why should this not happen? After all, a police uniform is what it gets… it takes hard work. Not only do you have to crack tough exams, but you also have to keep yourself fit and give full attention to work. Only then you are eligible to wear this uniform. But… sometimes some people forget that wearing this police uniform does not make you a policeman. This uniform is not only a showpiece, but also carries with it a great responsibility.
The latest case has come to light from Noida, which is adjacent to Delhi. These days, a cab driver in Noida has made an allegation against the policemen, which has not only put the police department to sleep, but also put them to shame. At first an attempt was made to suppress the matter, but after the matter came to light, the police department had to take strict action.
What was the whole matter?
The case is on the night of August 2. Cab driver Rakesh Tomar, a resident of Baraut in Bagpat, came to Gaur City located on 11 Avenue to drop a woman passenger from Delhi’s Panchsheel Vihar at around 1 pm. Then about five people in two vehicles came to their car. These people forced the cab driver down from his car and in the meantime they all misbehaved with him.
A young man was also wearing police uniform. They then forced him and the female passenger into their car and took him to a deserted place. Here they assaulted him and took seven thousand rupees from him. When he said he had no money to spend, everyone returned the Rs 500 and fled the scene.
The inspector was one of the accused
After the incident, the victim cab driver called the police control room and informed about the matter. After this the police came, but the driver alleged that the policemen forced him to settle. According to the victim driver, it was only then that he came to know that the youth among the accused, who was wearing a police uniform, was himself a sub-inspector posted in Gaur city.
In fact, the accused policeman was a trainee sub-inspector. When he reached the police post and lodged a written complaint, the in-charge of the post called the accused Trainee Sub-Inspector and identified him. After this he also pressured her to return seven thousand rupees and settle, but the victim did not settle and she complained to the Commissioner of Police.
The Commissioner of Police conducted classes in this manner
After the whole matter came to light, Police Commissioner Lakshmi Singh took notice of the matter and handed over the investigation to ACP Bisrakh. ACP Bisrakh contacted the victim during investigation. During investigation the allegations were found to be true and thereafter a case was registered against the accused in Bisrakh Police Station itself. What happened next… Police arrested trainee inspector Amit Mishra and his two associates Abhinav and Ashish.
Along with this, the police also seized both the vehicles used in the incident and the accused trainee inspector was also dismissed from the job. Action was also taken against the two policemen who forced the cab driver to settle. Along with this, police station in-charge Bisark, outpost in-charge Gaur City, a sub-inspector Ramesh Chandra and Mohit have also been suspended.
