Entire stake in The Man Company to be sold
The new generation men’s grooming brand ‘The Man Company’ will soon be a member of the family of brands such as Boroplus, Fair & Handsome and Zandu. The owner of this brand, Helios Lifestyle, will also sell its remaining stake in ‘The Man Company’. The agreement in this regard is in the final stages.
Emami, India’s leading consumer goods company, will buy the remaining 49.6 percent stake in Helios Lifestyle in ‘The Man Company’. Following this, it will completely become Emami’s brand, which was previously competing with Emami’s ‘Fair and Handsome’ brand in the market.
Emami has already bought a stake
Emami announced on Saturday that it now owns 50.4 percent of Helios Lifestyle shares. It is now a subsidiary of Emami. Emami will now fully acquire Helios. This will work to strengthen the company’s presence among the fast-growing digital premium beauty brands in the country.

Emami had previously acquired 33.09 percent of Helios shares in two tranches. First in December 2017 and second in February 2019, and then in 2022, it increased its stake to 50.4 percent.

The Man Company is a digital-first lifestyle brand. Kolkata-based Emami also has many other beauty brands. These include prominent brands like Navratna, Boroplus, Zandu, Fair and Handsome, Kesh King and Dermicool. Emami had a turnover of Rs 2,921.57 crore in the last financial year (2023-24).
