Vashu Bhagnani and Jackie Bhagnani’s production house Pooja Entertainment is currently going through a rough patch. The financial condition of the company is very bad, due to which Vashu Bhagnani fired about 80 percent of the company’s employees. Apart from this, he also had to sell the seven-floor office of the company, so that the loan could be paid.
Vashu Bhagnani started Pooja Entertainment almost 4 decades ago. Many hits like Coolie No. 1, Biwi No. 1 and Hero No. 1 were made under this banner. However, Pooja Entertainment’s films were failing miserably for some time now.

Bollywood Hungama has quoted a source as saying that Vashu Bhagnani has sold his seven-floor office to pay off debt and has shifted to a new office in a two-bedroom flat in Juhu. It is being said that the banner has suffered a loss of Rs 125-150 crore due to Bade Mian Chhote Mian flop. He had a loan of around Rs 250 crore, which he had to sell the building to repay.
These films flopped
Akshay Kumar’s Bell Bottom released in theaters in 2021. This was the first film to be released in theaters after the Corona period. However, the film flopped badly. Apart from this, Akshay Kumar’s Mission Raniganj and Tiger Shroff’s big budget film Ganpat also flopped badly. The remaining work is the recently released Rs. 350 crore has been completed by Bade Mian Chhote Mian.
The production house will not be closed
Even though Pooja Entertainment is facing many challenges right now, this production house is not shutting down. Vashu and his son Jackie Bhagnani are gearing up to cast a new star and have already started talking to actors and directors for their upcoming films. He is working in Shahid Kapoor’s Ashwatthama. This was announced some time ago. Pooja Entertainment was started in 1986. Around 40 films have been produced under this banner.
