A married man brutally murdered his girlfriend in Uttar Pradesh’s Bareilly. The man first attacked his girlfriend inside the car with a sharp weapon. After getting out of the car in an injured condition, the girl started running on the road to seek help. The man then hit him several times on the head with a stick from behind. Due to which the girl died. His wife was also with him at the time of the incident. Police have arrested the accused. His wife is still absconding.
The incident took place in Hafizganj police station area. A man named Pawan Gupta, who runs a grocery business, was having an affair with a girl for the past three years. Whatever the girl asked of him, the grocer fulfilled her every demand. But some time ago the merchant’s wife came to know about it. There was a huge uproar in the house. The grocer promised his wife that he would never speak to the girl.
But on the other hand the businessman’s girlfriend did not like this and did not want to end the relationship. That’s why she used to visit him every day. Businessman Pawan Gupta was stuck between his wife and girlfriend. So he asked his girlfriend to meet him on Monday. His girlfriend came to meet him. As soon as he got into the car, the businessman’s wife was already sitting there. The businessman tried to convince his girlfriend. But she was not ready to hear anything.
Threat of being implicated in a false case
The businessman said- When I was explaining to my girlfriend in the car, she started fighting. He started threatening to implicate me in a wrong case. So my wife slapped him. A quarrel between girlfriend and wife just started. When I got angry, I hit my girlfriend on the arm with a stick. When she got hurt, she got out of the car and started running. Then I also followed him and hit him several times on the head. Due to which she died there. Then we ran away from there.
The girl’s body was found the next day
Police said the girl’s family had filed a missing complaint. The next day we found the body of the girl. The mobile details revealed that the girl had last spoken to a grocer. We have arrested the accused. He has confessed to the crime. The businessman’s wife is still absconding. His search is on. He will also be arrested soon.
