Gujarat High Court

Policemen often beat people. The Gujarat High Court has taken a strict stance while hearing one such case. The High Court rejected the inspector’s apology and imposed a fine of Rs 3 lakh on him. Said that if one policeman who committed such a crime is pardoned, 10 other policemen will also commit a similar crime and then seek pardon in court. The matter is outside Surat District Court. According to the information, a lawyer was sitting in his car with his friends outside the Surat court.

Meanwhile, the inspector came and kicked the lawyer. In this case, the lawyer filed a complaint against the inspector at the police station, but the case was not registered. The lawyer then filed an appeal in the District Court, where an order was passed against the inspector. Against this order, the inspector also reached the High Court seeking apology. The High Court has not considered such behavior of the police personnel to be appropriate. Said that such treatment of an innocent person is not appropriate.

Apology rejected

While considering the inspector’s pardon, the court said that if one person is pardoned, other policemen will commit similar crimes and then expect pardon. Saying that, the High Court imposed a fine of 3 lakhs. Of the fine amount, Rs 2 lakh will be deposited in the High Court Library and Rs 1 lakh in the Surat District Court Library. With this, the court has rejected the pardon application of the inspector.
