An inspector posted at Pavapuri police station in Nalanda, Bihar has been arrested in his own police station. The police produced the inspector in court, from where he has been sent to jail. The inspector is accused of beating up his own colleagues and trying to obstruct government work to free the drunkards. Sections of the SC ST Act have also been invoked in the case registered against the inspector. The incident took place two days ago on August 20.
Earlier the police tried hard to suppress it, but now the case has gone viral on social media, so the police has released its information. Police said that Inspector Hare Ram Singh was posted at Pawapuri OP Police Station. Two days earlier, on August 20, another inspector from the same police station, Karu Ravidas, went on patrol on Sainik School Road and caught three people red-handed drinking alcohol in a public place. He caught the three accused and brought them to the police station and started issuing challans.
A case was registered on the orders of the captain
Meanwhile, Inspector Hari Singh reached there and first forced him to release the drunkards, when he did not agree, Hari Singh started beating his fellow inspector. The matter reached the captain. After this, on the instructions of SP Nalanda, a case was registered against the inspector in his own police station. With this, the in-charge of the police station arrested the accused inspector and locked him in the same lockup in which the drunkards were kept.

Sent to Jail under SC ST Act
The next day, Inspector Hari Singh and the three drunkards were produced in court, from where they were all sent to jail. Police said that a case has been registered against the accused inspector under sections of the SC-ST Act, including assault, obstruction of official work. Pawapuri police station in-charge Narad Muni Singh said that a case has been registered on the complaint of Inspector Karu Ravidas and investigation has been started. The accused inspector has been sent to jail.
