Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth
The pair of Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth is one of the superhit pairs of Bollywood. Both have worked together in many films including ‘Girftaar’, ‘Andha Kanoon’, ‘Hum’. All the films of both the actors have been loved by the fans. The two last worked together in the 1991 film ‘Hum’. However, now after 33 years Amitabh Bachchan and Rajinikanth are going to be seen together on screen in the film ‘Vettaiyan’. In such a situation, at an event show of the film, Rajinikanth narrated an old story about Amitabh Bachchan.
The audio launch event of Vettaiyan was held on 20 September in Chennai. Many stars participated in this event. Although Amitabh Bachchan was not present at the audio launch event, Rajinikanth was full of praise for Amitabh Bachchan. At the event, Rajinikanth also spoke about Amitabh Bachchan’s financial struggles and how he overcame them through his work.

At the event, Rajinikanth recalled, “When Amit ji was making films, he suffered a lot. They were not even able to pay their watchmen. The situation reached such a stage that his Juhu house was to be auctioned. The whole of Bollywood was laughing at him… the world was waiting for his downfall. However, he did not give up. He worked hard for three years and earned a lot of money. During this period he did many commercials and did KBC. Due to his hard work, he bought three more houses along with the house in Juhu. “He still works 10 hours at the age of 82.”
He said, “Amitabh ji’s father is a great writer. In such a situation, due to his influence, he too could have become a writer, but he worked differently from others in his family. Once Amitabh ji had a terrible accident. At that time Indira Gandhi went to a conference abroad. When she came to know about the accident, she immediately came to India and went to meet him in the hospital, only then did everyone know that Rajiv Gandhi and Amitabh ji had studied together.
When is the movie releasing?
Besides Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushra Vijayan, Rana Daggubati and Fahadh Faasil will also be seen in the film Vettaiya. The film will release in theaters on October 10. The film is directed by TJ Gnanavel. Earlier the film was slated to clash with Kanguwa, but the Kanguwa makers have extended their film’s release date to November 14.
