A commotion broke out during a Dalit wedding procession in Khasgarhi village of Aligarh in Uttar Pradesh. The procession was going in front of the village headman’s house, but the Dabang headman blocked the way. When the groom’s family members and wedding guests protested, the chief husband and his sons beat him up. It was clearly stated that the wedding procession would not leave in front of his house. The situation reached a stage that the police had to be called. After this, the procession started in the presence of police.
In this regard, the police have registered a case against the minister’s husband and his four sons under relevant sections and have started investigation into the matter. The groom’s family told the police that he belonged to a Dalit family. Their wedding procession was leaving on Monday evening. As soon as the procession reached in front of Pradhanpati Mukesh Gupta’s house, Pradhanpati came with his sons and stopped the procession. When they protested, the accused beat them.
The climb took place in the presence of the police
Wedding guests like Shivaram’s son Rajendra, Bijendra’s son Caesar, Ramveer’s son Sonu and Johnny, Neeraj and Munsheelal’s son Vaibhav were injured in the incident. During this incident, the accused also broke the windows of the vehicles participating in the procession. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot and based on the complaint of the groom’s family, a case was registered against the head husband. Considering the seriousness of the matter, a large number of police forces were sent to the village from the district headquarters and a procession was organised. Husband Mukesh Gupta, defiant by the presence of the police, stood there watching, but this time he couldn’t put up any obstacles, even though he wanted to.
Both the parties filed a complaint face to face
The wedding guests said that the accused suddenly stopped the wedding procession and beat them up leading to a stampede. The band players also ran away. With difficulty the bridegroom was taken from there. Fortunately, the police reached the spot on being informed and maintained peace at the spot. A case has been registered in this regard on the complaint of Dharampal’s son Rajendra, a member of the groom’s family. On the other hand, the accused have also given a statement to the police. It is alleged that the wedding guests started the indecency first. According to Inspector Jayanarayan Tiwari, the matter is being investigated based on the complaint and statement of both parties. All the accused are absconding now.
