Government increased MSP of wheat

The government has given a Diwali gift to millions of farmers in the country. In the Union Cabinet meeting just before the festival, the government approved increasing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for six Rabi crops. For this, the government will spend Rs 87,657 crore. New minimum support prices have been announced for six Rabi crops – wheat, gram, lentils, mustard, barley and sunflower seeds.
