Political turmoil has started once again in Haryana. Congress has claimed that the BJP government does not have a majority in the state. Therefore, Congress has demanded that the Governor should impose President’s rule in the state. A delegation led by Congress leaders Bhupendra Singh Hooda and Uday Bhan met Governor Bandaru Dattatreya. During this visit, the delegation submitted a statement to the Governor and demanded the dissolution of the Assembly. The Congress delegation said that the BJP government does not have a majority in the state.
There has been a political upheaval in Haryana once again. Congress has become aggressive against the ruling BJP government in the state. Congress leaders led by Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda met the Governor and demanded President’s rule, ‘Dissolve Haryana Assembly, direct to hold elections soon’, Congress submitted a statement to the Governor.
This was said by former Haryana Chief Minister and senior Congress leader Bhupendra Hooda in a press conference. We have made this demand to stop horse-trading in the state. The BJP government is in minority. The current House needs 44 MLAs out of 87 MLAs for a majority. However, the government has the support of 43 MLAs. Earlier on May 11, the Congress had demanded from the Governor that a floor test of the Haryana government be conducted. The main reason behind this was the horse-trading of the BJP. He said, “However, now we have demanded the Governor to dissolve the Haryana Assembly.”
Congress does not have the strength for Rajya Sabha elections. But, if 16 more MLAs support us then we can contest the elections. But there is a high possibility of horse-trading in this election. Also, the government does not have a majority. He said, therefore, instead of the previous demand for a floor test, we have changed the plan and directly demanded the dissolution of the assembly.
