This is the government’s statement.
Under the Swiggy Skills initiative, its delivery partner platform will be integrated with Skill India Digital Hub (SIDH), providing access to online skill development courses, certification and training modules to Swiggy employees. Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary said, “Today’s partnership showcases how public-private partnerships can create new opportunities for the workforce in the sector. There are immense opportunities in this sector and we want more and more companies to join us.”
Swiggy started a new service
Earlier, Swiggy first launched the Incognito Mode feature, through which users can order food and other essential items confidentially. Incognito is a special form of internet browser; when used, users’ search history is not recorded and activities performed in this mode are not visible in the regular browser. Swiggy said in the statement that by enabling Incognito Mode on its platform, users can shop anonymously and their orders will not be visible even in the app history. This feature is available in Swiggy’s Food and Instamart sections.
Only 10 percent of users got the installation.
Swiggy said that the incognito mode is also ideal for confidential purchases as the feature ensures that such orders remain private so that users’ choices are not visible to others. Rohit Kapoor, CEO (Catering Markets), Swiggy, said that even though our lives are becoming social, there are still a lot of things that we like to keep private and the incognito mode caters to this need. The company said that currently this facility is available only to 10 per cent of its users but in the coming days it will be rolled out to all users.
