Police reached the spot
A shocking case has come to light in Uttar Pradesh’s Jaunpur. Here an eccentric young man tried to kill a woman just because she refused to marry him and also forbade the young man from talking to her daughter on the phone. This enraged the young man so much that he poured petrol on the woman and set her on fire due to which she was badly burnt. The woman has been admitted to the district hospital in critical condition.
The incident took place in Basirhan village of Sarpatahan police station area. According to the victim, the accused youth Vinay wanted to marry her daughter but the family members were not ready for this marriage. So he tried to burn it. Now the police have registered a crime and arrested the accused youth and are taking further action.
The youth sprinkled petrol on the girl’s mother and set her on fire
According to the information, the accused youth Vinay, a resident of Matiara village of Sarpathan police station area, has his maternal uncle’s house in Basirhan. He used to go there often. Meanwhile, he met the victim’s daughter and the two started talking. When the family came to know about this, they forbade their daughter to talk to the young man. It is being told that the young man wanted to marry his daughter and for this he was constantly pressuring her. But the family refused this marriage. The young man was so offended by this that he tried to burn the girl’s mother alive.

The woman has been admitted to the district hospital in critical condition
It is being told that the victim was sleeping in her house and the door was locked. Around 3 am on Thursday morning, the accused youth entered his house through the stairs from the back side of the house. After which the young man sprinkled petrol on the woman and set her on fire and fled by opening the door. Meanwhile, the woman saw the accused and started screaming. Bystanders heard her screams and rescued the woman and rushed her to the hospital, where she was referred to the district hospital after first aid.
Police arrested the accused youth
Superintendent of Police Dr. Ajay Pal Sharma reached the spot on getting the information about the incident and inspected it. Meanwhile, he ordered the arrest of the accused. Within a few hours, the police arrested the accused youth. Now the police has taken further action. Shahganj area officer Ajit Singh Chauhan said that based on the victim’s complaint, a case has been registered against the accused youth under serious sections.
