IC 814 The Kandahar Hijack directed by Anubhav Sinha, which recently released on Netflix, is in the news these days. There was a lot of controversy regarding this series. Pankaj Kapoor played the role of Union Minister Vijaybhan Singh in this series. The web series is based on the 1999 Indian Airlines hijacking. The plane, which flew from Nepal, was captured by five hijackers. After which the plane was hijacked and taken to Kandahar, Afghanistan via Amritsar, Lahore, UAE. The people on board the plane were released seven days later.
The movie Mausam was released on 23 September in the year 2011. Apart from Shahid and Sonam, the film also featured actors like Anupam Kher, Aditi Sharma and Supriya Pathak. The songs of this film were huge hits at that time. The film did a business of around 30 crore rupees at the domestic box office.
