This person’s name is Jupali Rameshwar Rao, who first became a homeopathic doctor and then there was a turn in his life where his investment of Rs 50,000 made him a real estate king. Today, the valuation of his My Home Group is around Rs 10,600 crore.

First open homeopathic clinic

Born in a farming family, Jupali Rameshwar Rao belongs to Mahabubnagar district of Telangana (then Andhra Pradesh). After school, he went to Hyderabad in 1974 to become a homeopathic doctor. He also opened his own clinic in Dilkhush Nagar, but his story was written only to become an entrepreneur.

From Rs 50,000 investment to real estate king

Jupali Rameshwar Rao’s luck changed when, on the advice of a friend, he invested Rs 50,000 and bought a land in Hyderabad. When he sold it after about 3 years, he got Rs 1.5 lakh. This made him realize the power of real estate and he slowly became interested in the real estate business.

In 1981, he laid the foundations of the company ‘My Home Constructions’. In a short time, this company became a big name in the Hyderabad real estate market. This company later became the basis of “My Home Group”. In parallel with the real estate sector, he continued working in other sectors. He started the company ‘Maha Cement’. Later, he sold 50 per cent stake in the same company to an Irish company for Rs 1,429 crore in 2008.
