The impact of the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, is now visible on the city’s economy. Since the construction of the Ram temple, land prices here have been continuously increasing. Now the local administration is going to increase the circular price of land in many areas here. This price increase can go up to 200 percent.

Local officials say that the circle rate of Sadar tehsil of Ayodhya district will be increased by 200 per cent from Wednesday next month. Ayodhya Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal gave information in this regard.

The land is sold at a price 1235% higher

Ayodhya Divisional Commissioner Gaurav Dayal says that the notification to increase the circle speed in Sadar Tehsil area has been issued. Next week on September 4, the local administration will inform about the exact circle rate here. From this day onwards, everyone will be informed about the new increased circle rate.

Ayodhya Additional Inspector General (Seal) Yogendra Singh says land near the Ram Janmabhoomi temple area and on the roadside has been purchased in the last three years at a price ranging from 41 per cent to 1,235 per cent more than the circle rate. Thus, in many areas, circle rates of land can be increased by up to 200 per cent.

After the consecration of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the birthplace of Lord Shri Ram, land prices are rising rapidly. Investors, real estate companies and big hotel chains are buying land in Ayodhya at high prices. On January 22 this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi consecrated the statue of Lord Shri Balak Ramlala in Ayodhya.

Large cash transactions

The local administration claims that bank payments are transferred to the land owners according to the circle rate, while most of the big business is done in cash. Therefore, the district administration has decided to issue a new circle rate. Its process has been completed.

Ayodhya District Magistrate CV Singh had issued directions to finalise the process of amendment of the land valuation list in the district as per Rule 4 of the Uttar Pradesh Stamp (Valuation of Properties) Act, 1997. Following the survey, revised circular rates have been prepared for the year 2024.

The last time the circle fare in Ayodhya was changed was in 2017. However, in the meantime, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav has alleged that the circle rate has been increased to benefit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) people.
