Lawrence D’Souza said, “We went to Rajshri for the trial of ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’. Then Mara, S. A special screening was organized for the three of us, Ramanathan and Prayagaraj. When I watched the movie, I didn’t enjoy it at first, but as the movie progressed, I started liking Salman in the movie. After watching the movie S. Ramanathan told me, ‘Lawrence, let’s sign Salman, call him. So I called Salman at Raj Babbar’s office in Juhu. We gave Salman a signing amount of Rs 5000. S Ramanath was supposed to start the film, but he did not work on the project after paying Salman.
