Film actor Govinda

There was a time when Govinda was popular in the Hindi film industry. He had dozens of films. Whether his film was a hit or a flop, producers queued up to sign him. For many years after 1985, he always had dozens of films. People were crazy about Govinda’s acting, his dance and his dialogue delivery. From comedy to action and drama, Govinda has dominated every genre.

At that time Govinda had no time for shooting. Director Mehul Kumar, who has worked with Govinda in many films, has said many things about him in an interview. He said that there was a time when Govinda used to give the makers only one to two hours a day for shooting due to multiple projects. Recalling the shooting days of the 1989 film Asaman Se Uncha, Mehul said, “Govinda was very busy during this film. So much so that he could give only one or two hours for shooting.

Govinda had 70 films

Govinda entered films in 1986. In the first year itself, he acted in five films. In the following year i.e. 1987, he appeared in 6 films. In 1988, this figure increased further and he appeared in 11 films. 14 films of Govinda were released in 1989. From these figures it can be understood how big a star Govinda was. Govinda himself once said that he has signed 70 films at once. However, he later left many films. Some films were closed. Due to this he used to shoot 4-5 films every day.

Govinda’s delay

Govinda used to come late on set? Many times Govinda did not arrive for shooting? Many people have made these claims. Now Mehul has also made a big revelation on Govinda’s lateness. He said, “I also faced this (latency) problem during the shooting of Asmaan Se Unchha. We were shooting the film in Kashmir. The fight sequence was supposed to be shot, but it was snowing heavily so we had to cancel the shoot.

The film was shot without Govinda

Mehul says, “I told Govinda that today is the last day. The whole unit is here. Please come and complete your shooting. He said, ‘I cannot come.’ So I said, ok, go, I will finish shooting without you. On this he asked how, I said you will know when you see.

Mehul continued, “I used her close-up shots and shot with her body double. I clearly told Govinda that I have done many films, whenever an actor throws a tantrum I do a film without him. I told him that if you want to last long as an actor, you have to take care of these things.
