Monsoon has arrived amid scorching heat. In such a situation, due to heavy rains, the rivers have also surged. Meanwhile, many such cases are coming up in which people are dying due to drowning in the river. Two days ago, 5 people of the same family drowned in the water of the waterfall near Bhushi Dam in Pune, Maharashtra. Now such news has come from Rishikesh in Uttarakhand. Here a couple from Delhi was washed away in the river Ganga.

As soon as the information was received, divers of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) started searching for the couple. But so far not a single thing has been found. According to the police, on Monday, a couple drowning in the Ganga at Muni Ki Reti near Rishikesh came to light. Police quoted eyewitnesses as saying that they disappeared in the waves after wading into the river.

While identifying the couple, police said the man has been identified as Lovepreet (26), who lives in Sudarshan Park in West Delhi. At the same time, it is being said that the girl present with him, Neha Thakur (22) is a resident of Delhi’s Karol Bagh. Both are suspected to have died due to drowning. Still the SDRF team is searching for him. Divers are constantly searching for them in the river Ganga.

The family drowned in Pune

A similar accident took place in Pune two days ago. A 40-year-old woman and more than half a dozen children went to bathe in the falls around 1.30 pm on Sunday. Meanwhile, a 13-year-old girl started drowning in the water of the lake due to her foot slipping. The woman entered the water to save him and she too started drowning. After this one after another other children also entered the water and started drowning. By the time relief came from outside, the woman and the four children were swept away by the current. The bodies of three of them were found.
