The collection of GST increased the government’s profits; Rs 1.74 lakh crore arrived in June

There has been a record increase in the government’s earnings from GST collection. GST collection in the month of June has crossed Rs 1.74 lakh crore, of which CGST is Rs 39,586 crore and SGST is Rs 33,548 crore. Let us tell you that from January till now i.e. till June, the total collection has been Rs 5.57 lakh crore. Let us tell you that the government’s GST collection in May 2024 was Rs 1.73 lakh crore. Which was a record 10 per cent more than the GST collection in the month of May last year. In May last year, this figure was Rs 1.57 lakh crore collected.

Let us tell you that in the total GST collection, there is a share of taxes levied by the Central Government, State Governments and import and export taxes. At the same time, the government also collects cess money under GST.
