In this case, the concerned company also cooperated to maintain its identity and finally the police found the man who had the boat.
Malad-based 26-year-old MBBS doctor Orlem Serrao was eating butterscotch ice cream ordered online when he was shocked to see an unexpected object in the cone. There was a piece of human finger on the corner of this ice cream. This ice cream was ordered online by his sister. After this, the concerned doctor complained to the company on Instagram. But when the company did not respond, he lodged a complaint with the police. Till now insects and animals like rats, flies, cockroaches have been found as food items. But this was the first shocking discovery of a broken human finger in a food item. The police have started investigating the incident.
Identify factory by batch number
The batch number and other information on the company’s cones revealed the factory where the ice cream was packed. After this, inquiries were made in the entire factory and it was found that an employee was admitted to the hospital. The finger was sent to a forensic laboratory in Santa Cruz-Calina for DNA testing. After receiving its report, by the police See if the DNA of the hospitalized person matches. Finally, after DAN matching, the boat belonged to the same workers. It was found that on May 11, they had an accident in the company when their boat flew and fell into the ice cream.
Unit at Indapur
Omkar Pote, Assistant Operator Manager at Fortune Company in Indapur, Pune, suffered a cut finger. A piece of the middle finger of Pote’s right hand broke off. Pote is originally from Satara. The manufacturing date and number of the ice cream cone also matched. Therefore, a case of negligence was registered against Yummo Ice Cream Company after this company was found guilty. A 26-year-old MBBS doctor found a half-inch piece of a human finger with a nail inside his ice cream cone. The Food Safety Authority has given a notice to this ice cream unit located in Indapur, Pune to stop the work of this unit of the company.
