Accused in police custody
A shocking case has come to light from Udaipur in Rajasthan. Here a young man bought a car and after getting into debt he sold the car through OLX. He then tracked down the current owner of the car he had sold and stole the same car and fled. However, the police have arrested him.
The police said that a youth named Suresh Kumar had registered a case at the Hathipol police station in Udaipur some time ago. He said he bought the car through online app OLX, which went missing from outside the railway headquarters. When the police investigated the case, it was found that a youth named Chandra Mohan had sold the car to Suresh as he had a loan on it, then he tracked down Suresh’s house and stole the car from there.
What did the police station officer say?
Police Station Officer Adarsh Kumar said that when the police investigated, the accused was seen in the CCTV footage. The victim told the police that the person from whom he bought the car had given him only one key to the car. This was the reason why the accused easily started the car with the help of another key and fled.
The police got information that the car was with the first owner, Chandra Prakash. The police then spoke to Chandra Prakash posing as a fake customer on OLX and called him to show the car. As soon as the accused reached Udaipur by car from Jaipur, the police nabbed him.
