A shocking incident related to traffic has come to light from Ranchi in Jharkhand. Several people approached the Public Grievance Redressal Center with currency related issues. The officials were surprised to hear this. The victim said that someone else was using her car number. When he drives erratically or violates traffic rules, a copy of the challan is sent to his home. After hearing the complaint of the victim, the officials have ordered an investigation. The victim is also assured to waive off the amount of the challan.
Rahul Kumar, a resident of Kusai Colony, Doranda, approached the Public Grievance Redressal Center with his first currency related case. Another case is that of Malti, who lives in the New Police Line Camp at Kanke Road. Informing SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha, Malti said that someone was using the number plate of his car in a fake manner. Whenever that fake person violates traffic rules anywhere, a copy of the challan reaches us. We have complained about this to the police several times but no one is willing to listen.
Complained to the traffic police
While Rahul Kumar stated that his vehicle number is JH 01 DD 6483. Another person impersonates my car number and drives around town. After deducting the currency, Danda’s coffee reaches his home. Rahul said that after receiving the copy of the challan, he is troubled. He has complained to the traffic police about the issuance of challan, but no action has been taken. When the matter reached the Public Grievance Redressal Camp, the police started investigation.
Waiver of currency is guaranteed
After hearing the complaint of the victim, the officials have said that the challan sent to the registered mobile number will be waived off. It is also said that the victim should apply in the name of Traffic SP.
Many questions are being raised after such cases have come to light. How will the police protect people? What if someone is driving around wearing someone else’s car number plate and someone gets into an accident and the accused runs away? In such circumstances, a big question will arise for the police.
