Sanjeev Kumar is named among the legendary stars of Bollywood. He has acted in many powerful films in his career. It is often seen in the film world that actors shy away from playing characters older than themselves, but that was not the case with Sanjeev Kumar. He played larger roles in many films including ‘Sholay’ (1975), ‘Trishul’ (1978), ‘Mausam’ (1975), ‘Saawal’ (1982) and ‘Devata’ (1978). Sanjeev was around 37 years old when he played the role of Thakur in ‘Sholay’. He was around 40 when he played Amitabh’s father RK Gupta in ‘Trishul’.

Tabassum revealed in a YouTube video why she likes to play old characters. It will be surprising to know that he himself predicted his own death. Later this statement of his also proved to be true. He said that once he asked Sanjeev Kumar why he likes to do such roles.

The prediction came true

In response to Tabassum’s question, he said that once he had shown his hand to an astrologer, who had been told that he would not live long and would not see old age. This was the reason why he likes to play old characters in movies.

He was doing this so that he could live his old age through films, which he could not live in real life. His idea later proved to be correct. He suffered a heart attack at the age of 47. After this he said goodbye to this world forever. Even though he is no longer among us in this world, he still resides in the hearts of the audience through his brilliant films.
