Opposition attacks on Nawada case

100 goons set fire to 80 houses of Dalit families in Bihar’s Nawada on Wednesday night. Many people have become homeless after this incident. Acting in this case, the police have arrested 10 accused including the main accused Nandu Paswan and the search is on for the accused. Many opposition leaders expressed grief over the incident and demanded strict legal action against the accused and also targeted CM Nitish Kumar over the incident.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi wrote on the social media platform that even the screams of these Dalit families who lost their property and the terror created by the echoes of heavy firing in the deprived society could not wake up the slumbering government of Bihar.

“Shameful Crime”

Further, he took a scathing attack on the BJP and wrote that such anarchic elements find refuge in the leadership of BJP and NDA allies. They intimidate and oppress the masses of India, so that they cannot even demand their social and constitutional rights and the silence of the PM is a stamp of approval on this big conspiracy. The Bihar government and the state police should take immediate and strict action against all the perpetrators of this shameful crime and give full justice to the victims’ families by rehabilitating them.

Tejashwi Yadav attacks Nitish

Not only Rahul Gandhi but also Tejashwi Yadav was seen very angry asking direct questions to PM Modi. He wrote on X, “Dear Prime Minister Modiji, under your double engine government in Bihar, the houses of Dalits have been burnt. This is an Indian phenomenon only. Please say a few words on this Mangalraj that all this is happening as per God’s will and big mouthed powerful leaders of NDA have no control over this.

Tejashwi Yadav did not stop there, he further targeted Bihar CM Nitish Kumar. He further wrote, ‘Let us also inform you that the Chief Minister of the third party in Bihar has stopped speaking for months. He neither talks to the media nor the public? Whatever he speaks, he speaks as written by the authorities because when he speaks about himself, he starts speaking from somewhere else, perhaps that is why this ban has been imposed. NDA is not worried about Bihar but criminals.

‘What did Mallikarjun Kharge say?

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge also attacked CM Nitish Kumar and PM Modi. He wrote on Twitter, ‘Terror of goons on Mahadalit Tola in Bihar’s Nawada is yet another proof of NDA’s double engine government’s jungle raj. It is highly deplorable that around 100 dalit houses were set on fire, fired upon and everything was taken away from the poor families in the dead of night. The gross indifference, criminal neglect and encouragement of the anti-social elements of the BJP and its allies towards the Dalits and the underprivileged is now at its peak. Prime Minister Modi ji is silent as usual, Nitish ji is careless in his greed for power and NDA allies are in trouble.

Priyanka Gandhi demanded action

Priyanka Gandhi wrote on Instagram, ‘The burning of more than 80 houses of Mahadalits in Bihar’s Nawada is very appalling and reprehensible. Creating terror on such a large scale by firing dozens of rounds and rendering people homeless shows the total breakdown of law and order in the state. The common rural poor are forced to live in the shadow of insecurity and fear. I demand from the state government that strict action should be taken against such wrongdoing goons and all the victims should be properly rehabilitated.

Mayawati said this

BSP chief Mayawati wrote on Instagram, ‘The incident of hooligans burning down many houses of poor Dalits in Bihar’s Nawada is very sad and serious. Along with taking strict legal action against the culprits, the government should also provide full financial assistance for the rehabilitation of the victims.
