West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee attended the NITI Aayog meeting in New Delhi on Saturday, but she boycotted the meeting and walked out alleging that the microphone was switched off during her speech. After which Mamata Banerjee accused of turning off the mic during her speech. After Mamata Banerjee’s allegation, a statement was released by PIB saying that Mamata Banerjee was misleading and termed Mamata Banerjee’s statement as false.
Mamata Banerjee returned to Kolkata on Saturday after boycotting the NITI Aayog meeting. While talking to reporters at the airport in Kolkata, Mamata Banerjee said what happened in the Niti Aayog meeting and why she boycotted the meeting? Mamata Banerjee also revealed who was given an opportunity to speak in the meeting and for how long.
Just talk for five minutes
Mamata Banerjee said, “Chandrababu Naidu spoke for 20 minutes in the meeting, Chief Ministers of Assam, Arunachal, Chhattisgarh and Goa also spoke for 15-20 minutes, but I spoke for only 5 minutes and they started.” Stopping me by ringing the bell, I said ok if you don’t want to listen to Bengal, ok and I boycotted the meeting and left.

Mamata Banerjee said, “I was the only one who went from opposition-ruled states, they should have given me 30 minutes, I am not stupid enough not to manage my time at the beginning of the meeting. Rajnath Singh said that 5- Everyone should express his thoughts in 7 minutes, but I was not allowed to speak for even 7 minutes.
She said her people were given 20 minutes and rest were given 0, I did right by boycotting the meeting, I will not let them insult Bengal. In other states, opposition parties are running the government. I stand firmly with them.
Now he will not participate in Niti Aayog meeting
Seven chief ministers of the opposition coalition “Bharat” boycotted the NITI Aayog meeting, alleging deficiencies in the Union Budget. Only the Chief Minister of Bengal was present in the meeting held on Saturday morning. However, he walked out of the meeting after some time. Mamata questioned why she was not allowed to speak for more than five minutes despite being the only representative of the opposition party, why her mic was turned off.
Mamata Banerjee said that I said that you (central government) should not discriminate against any state government. I wanted to talk more, but I was given only five minutes to speak. People before me spoke for 10-20 minutes. This is insulting. Now I will not attend any meeting of NITI Aayog.
