Take care of interest of land holders in survey work… CM Nitish Kumar gave strict instructions to the officials in the review meeting.

CM Nitish Kumar is holding a review meeting regarding the survey

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Saturday reviewed the Bihar Special Survey and Settlement Programme. Meanwhile, he also gave necessary instructions to all the senior officials. Deepak Kumar Singh, Additional Secretary, Department of Revenue and Land Reforms, said that the special survey and settlement program is progressing rapidly. He said that the process of special survey and settlement is going on in phases.

He informed that a public awareness campaign is also being conducted for survey operations in the state. Officials are organizing mass camps to resolve people’s problems related to survey operations.

Land survey should be completed on time

During the review, the Chief Minister gave instructions to the officials. He said that the survey work in the state should be completed within the time frame. During this period, it should be absolutely ensured that the land owners do not face any kind of hardship. He said that land holders should be given more time to upload documents so that they do not have to rush to the concerned departments unnecessarily and there is no congestion.

Land disputes cause crime

The Chief Minister directed the officials that the survey process should be widely publicized. Appropriate action should be taken for deputation of employees at zonal level. The Chief Minister directed the officials to continuously monitor and review the survey. He said that land dispute is the main cause of criminal incidents in the state. He gave strict instructions to the officials in this regard. He said that land records should be updated after completion of land survey. There should be arrangements to make land records available digitally to landholders. General public should be informed about this through publicity.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Revenue and Land Reforms Minister Dr. Dilip Kumar Jaiswal, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary Amrit Lal Meena, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. S. Siddharth, Secretary to Chief Minister Anupam Kumar, Secretary to Chief Minister Kumar Ravi, Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister Gopal Singh, Secretary Revenue and Land Reforms Department Jai Singh, Director of Land Records and Survey J. Priyadarshini and other senior officers were present.
