Team India completed a hat-trick of wins in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 by defeating host USA on Wednesday, June 12. Team India defeated USA by 7 wickets. With this win, Team India reached the Super 8. Captain Rohit Sharma looked happy after Team India’s third consecutive win. Rohit said after the win that he knew that winning against America would not be easy. Rohit also commented on the American players.

We knew that the match cannot be won easily. The way we stood firm and made partnerships. This is to our credit. Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dubey both gave us victory. Rohit was also asked about the players of Indian origin playing for America. On this Rohit said that I have played with most of them. I am happy to see their development. I saw them in MLC last year. They are all hardworking. Rohit also said that reaching the Super 8 is a big relief. Rohit also said that playing cricket here is not easy.

Meanwhile, Team India first restricted USA to 110 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Nitish Kumar scored the highest 27 runs for USA. Steven Taylor scored 24 runs. Arshdeep Singh took the highest 4 wickets for Team India. Vice-captain Hardik Pandya showed both of them the way out of the field. Axar Patel took 1 wicket. In response, Team India completed the challenge of 111 runs in 18.2 overs by losing 3 wickets. Suryakumar Yadav scored an unbeaten 50 for Team India. Shivam Dubey contributed 31 runs. Surya-Shivam made an unbeaten partnership of 67 runs for the fourth wicket. Earlier, Rishabh Pant scored 18 runs and Rohit scored 3 runs. Even Virat Kohli could not open the account. Saurabh Netravalkar took the highest 2 wickets for USA.
