Neither the elections have been declared in Maharashtra nor any of the parties officially announced the seat sharing formula yet, but leaders are already campaigning for their party’s candidates for possible seats. The Samajwadi Party, which is part of the MVA alliance, is hopeful of getting a ticket from Mumbai’s Anu Shaktinagar assembly constituency.
Actress Swara Bhaskar’s husband Fahad Ahmed can be fielded on this seat. The incumbent MLA from this seat is NCP’s Nawab Malik. But currently Malik is in Ajit Pawar camp and his health is also bad. In such a situation, there is little hope of Malik contesting the elections. His daughter can be a candidate from this seat. In such a situation, her competition with Swara’s husband Fahad is considered certain.
Fahad called the meeting without declaring the seat
SP leader and Swara’s husband Fahad got into politics through social movements and joined SP and is now ready to enter the election fray. In such a situation, under the leadership of Abu Azmi, without declaring the seat, Fahad convened a meeting in which Supriya Sule, MP and leader of the NCP Sharad group was present herself.

He targeted Nawab Malik and tried to remind him of the atrocities committed by the BJP. Supriya even said that people like Anil Deshmukh, Sanjay Raut did not surrender to BJP while in jail but Nawabbhai turned his back. Citing his relationship with Nawab Malik, he said that the party and he are always with him. He also visited him in jail and in hospital.
Supriya also said that now if BJP calls Nawab Malik well then BJP should apologize to Nawab Malik and NCP. Along with this, Abu Azmi and Fahad also raised slogans for the party’s victory. It remains to be seen whether Mahavikas Aghadi leaves this seat for SP or not.
