Sunny Deol’s film ‘Border’ has a huge fan following. In such a situation, ever since actor Sunny Deol announced his sequel ‘Border 2′, fans’ happiness knows no bounds. However, now the film ‘Border 2’ may face trouble. Bharat Shah, the producer of the film ‘Border’, has issued a notice against JP Dutta. The notice said that they have the full rights of the first film ‘Border’. Now if the rights of that film are with India then it will be difficult to make its sequel with the same name and package it in the name of the old film.

This notice has been issued by Shah in the September 7-14, 2024 edition of Complete Cinema magazine. It has been issued by Advocate Ajay Khatlawala, Partner, Little & Company. The notice said that an agreement was signed between the two on November 21, 1994, which stipulated that the profits of ‘Border’ would be shared half. Bharat Shah says that JP Dutta did not give him a single rupee of profit after the success of his first film. Apart from this, he was not informed about the earnings of the film.

Bharat alleges that Dutta did not accept a single condition of the agreement between the two. Through the notice, Bharath has also warned those who will be part of his sequel and any kind of deal. The notice said that whoever is going to do any deal related to the ‘border’ with JP, should do so at his own risk as the case against him is already in court.

Anurag Singh is directing ‘Border 2’ and JP Dutta is co-producing it. Sunny Deol is in the lead role in this film. ‘Border 2’ will also feature Varun Dhawan and Diljit Dozans.
